Talking

If you’d like me to speak at your event or programme, please get in touch. My latest book Relatable: Exploring God, Love and Connection in the Age of Choice arrived in May 2019 and so far I’ve spoken at a technology conference, singles gathering, and sex educators conference about it, and I’d be delighted to talk more about the past, present and future of Christianity and relationships and the exclusive Real Life Love survey of almost 1500 people’s experiences that features in it. Find out more about the book here.

You can watch my talks on relationships at Greenbelt festival here (forgive the, er, animated facial expressions on the preview screens…)

and listen to a 2016 panel about internet dating and a 2018 discussion on how relationships are changing here.

I host events, panels and conversations, such as this one with performers about creative influences, and I’ve MC’d conferences like the Church and Media Conference and Premier Digital Conference.

As part of The Gallery, a show about arts, culture and faith, I interviewed the legendary Sir Michael Morpurgo, and you can watch a clip of our conversation here if you’d like to.

You can listen to the full Gallery radio shows, which were developed, written and presented by me, and include artists, writers, musicians, poets and all kinds of creative people talking about their inspirations and performing wonderful work.

I spoke at the EA’s national consultation on faith in public life about ‘The I Generation’.

I’ve popped up quite often at Threads Live events and regularly speak to young people about how to develop creativity.

I’ve also contributed to other people’s shows as a guest, for example talking about dating and relationships (and for some reason explaining BDSM to a woman from Canterbury) and talking about leadership and have appeared on Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine, BBC Belfast, and BBC London talking about domestic abuse.

Oh, and I just managed to get myself included in this (by offering to wear a fake moustache – long story) and if you like The Secret History you might be interested… Radio 4’s Book Club with Donna Tartt. A good day.
